Terms
The terms for using arcsmith.build and the ArcSmith beta. They are short on purpose: the beta is young, and so is this page.
Who we are
ArcSmith is made by McGill & Co. Designs LLC in Smithfield, North Carolina. Write to us at hello@arcsmith.build.
What ArcSmith is
ArcSmith is design software for residential projects: plans, elevations, and sheets, with the tools to draw them and to present them to clients.
The beta
The ArcSmith beta is a pre-release version of ArcSmith, open to testers we approve. It is provided as is: it may change or break without notice, and we may end it at any time. If the beta ends, projects you saved on your device stay there.
Your account
You sign in with Google. We keep your name, your email address, the number Google gives your account, and when you last signed in. The number means only the same Google account can sign in with your address. Signing in is open to beta testers only.
Your work
Projects and settings you make in the beta are saved on the device you work on, and stay there until you clear them. Saving projects to your ArcSmith account opens later in the beta. During the beta, keep your own copies of anything you care about.
What we record
We record usage notes so we can run the beta and plan its prices: which days you use it, how many times it opens, how long you actively work, and when you were last active, plus what costs us money or space, such as AI images and their cost, the sizes of files saved for you, how much you store with us, and how often your review links are opened. We keep these notes for a year. When you report a bug, we keep what you send. The privacy page has the full picture, including what we keep from sign-in and who sees your bug reports.
Bug reports and the crew board
Pick a display name that isn't someone else's name and that you're happy for other testers to see. Other testers can read what you write in a bug report, so keep other people's private details, such as a client's name or address, out of it. We can change a display name, or hide or remove a report, if it breaks these terms. Crew board points and levels have no cash value, and we decide any rewards and can change them.
Fair use
Don't overload or misuse the beta, and don't try to work around the tester approval. We can remove anyone's access.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as ArcSmith changes. This page shows the latest version, with its date at the bottom.
